Subject? GVSB @ Mercury Lounge NYC - 6/12/02 - Ok..before show saw Eli..he was Yawning!-(i was too-during opening act!-so bad it made a soakin new wet girl sick-I almost missed show!! {the horrors})
I assume position in front of stage left (usually im in from of johnny-but this show was extra special-(a shared bliss) so it was cool getting a different perspective.  They all come on to the stage so causualy, grab their weapons to beggin the sonic assault on our senses. Scott says "How the fuck are you" & they rip into "Tucked-in"..as the band grows tighter & the sonic landscape becomes ever more
all encompassing-..as well as their visuals of Eli just jumping, screaming & playing his bass with perfect abandon (but sounds note 4 note perfect) - getting TIGHTER - highlights - the crunch of Let Me come Back, the all out groove of ALL THE RAGE - the discotortions of Disco666, the funfest of BFF-the building cresendo of THE COME DOWN & the Tightest historic moment ..the sweet/bitter lullaby of -KITTY-YO!!.  In the middle of the show Eli says "We have a new cd..its called 'You Can't Fight What You Can't See"  Funny I thought it was called "YOU CANT BUY WHAT YOU CANT FIND" (*ducks for cover as Eli throws his 2x's bass expansion unit @ me) The show comes to the point of critical mass when they end the set with - THE KNDAMUZIKYOULIKE. WOW..So kids..collect your bottle returns, sell the cd's you dont listen to, double up on the tricks..get a part time job as a fluffer..JUST SEE THEM LIVE AS MANY TIMES AS YOU CAN-AS I SAID EARLIER THIS YEAR-THIS IS GVSB @ THEIR FINEST!! RE-BAPTISED in THE 10th Circle OF HELL!! COME FOR YOUR COMMUNION..over & out..
