Okay, I'm not going to go through the set list as it is pretty much what has already been noted in other reviews (besides, I'm sure someone else has a better memory than I).

I got there at twenty to eight and the front of the stage was packed but I managed to get close enough to see them.  As soon as they came on I started screaming my head off (not necessarily maniacally, just enough to show my support).  Throughout the whole set no one really moved about, it was *very* easy to pick out the fans.  Some guys behind me, upon the end of Let Me Come Back started saying things like "Get off the stage already and never come back."  It raised my hackles, but I stayed quiet, for to say something would not be worth the effort.

Scott made a real point of telling everyone they were from NY, and how it was good to be home, etc.  Eli asked about the World Series, at which point he threw out this massive baseball glove inflatable.  The result?  It gave those Garbage people something to do with themselves.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the show, less intimate, a few wannabe moshers that were an embarrasment in the sense that all the Garbage people looked at GVSB fans in a certain negative light.  Good thing:  it cleared a path for me to get closer ;-)

A song dedicated to Ted, a thanks to Garbage...

All in all it was not as bad as I was expecting, no booing (sp?)....Eli was...Eli, Scott sounded great, Alexis was drumming away as if his life depended on it, and with such precision, and Johnny, well, he was Johnny, you know, he plays damn good but has this body language that makes me think he'd rather be elswhere at times (he spends a lot of time looking below (his) eye level--not to say down at his feet).

MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT:
Okay, maybe I was disappointed because I have no sense of direction and, at times, can be categorized as lame (though I did everything I could to rectify that), but I did not get to see the band after at any table set up anywhere. Tell me someone, did I totally overlook it?  I asked practically every staff member if one existed, but no one knew.  Later on in the evening, as I was sitting there reading waiting for my friend (who likes Garbage) I hear the name Scott, look up, and he was walking out the door. I had my pilfered poster and permanent marker ready, but alas... KIDDI, I tried ;-(  (If I missed the setup you have permission to kill *me*)

Useless Observations:  the many fighting couples;  little grungy girls (12-13 y.o.) smoking and acting as if they were drunk;  the number of people dehydrated getting charged 3 bucks for water;  a girl walking around in her underwear who should have been killed for the trauma I'm dealing with; a girl passing a boy a matchbook with her number in it and saying "I feel sorry for you," (what kind of pick up line is that?);  and a woman eating pizza (at the Pizza Hut) with catsup on top.

HIGHLIGHT OF MY EVENING:  The paper I spent all day working on for my Saturday class (no lates accepted) was lost in the crush (no copy at home).  So I spent the rest of the evening waiting for Garbage to finish their set and talking to the guy that hands out alcohol bracelents.  (He was telling me stories of past shows and how there was one recently that had a whole load of people with make-up on.  I asked him if it was Marily Manson and he said "Yeah, that was it.  That girl was weird," To which I replied "Erm, Marilyn's a guy."  The look he gave me was quite comical.)

All I can say is that I realize this wasn't a review so much as rambling AND i HAD A REALLY GREAT TIME AND i CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM AGAIN!
