According to the band's Geffen publicist, Dennis Dennehy, they had been flirting with a few different '80s songs to fit in the movie, which is set on New Year's Eve of 1982.
At press time, the song wasn't expected to appear on the soundtrack and there are no immediate plans for its release; however, it could possibly end up as a B-side down the road, according to Dennehy.
200 Cigarettes stars Love and Ben Affleck, who co-wrote and starred in Good Will Hunting with Matt Damon, and features a cameo by Elvis Costello.
